30 Enter LD 22 to access Overlay program 22 to verify the configuration
changes made in Overlay program 17.
31 Enter LD 48 to access Overlay program 48 to verify that the MSDL is
enabled.
32 Enter STAT MSDL xx to verify that the MSDL port is enabled. The
device number is represented by xx.
33 Enter **** to exit Overlay program 48.
The TTY just created must be in a disabled state. If the TTY needs to
be disabled, continue with this procedure. If the TTY is already
disabled, go to Step 38.
34 Enter LD 37 to access Overlay program 37 to disable the TTY port.
35 Enter DIS TTY xx. The available TTY is represented by xx.
The system displays the following prompt:
xx TTY (Y/N)
36 Enter Y to disable the TTY.
37 Enter **** to exit Overlay program 37.
38 Enter LD 17 to access Overlay program 17 to configure the TTY port as
the STA administration port as well as to set up additional ports for
system monitors.
The system displays the following prompt:
REQ
39 Enter CHG to change the current configuration on the MSDL card.
The system displays the following prompt:
TYPE
40 Enter CFN to access the configuration record.
The system displays the following prompt:
ADAN
41 Enter NEW STA xx to add an MSDL TTY port. The device number is
represented by xx.
The system displays the following prompt:
TTY
