4-2 Hardware installation: Intelligent Peripheral Equipment module
553-4001-111 Standard 1.0 March 1997
Overview
The Meridian MAX Intelligent Peripheral Equipment (IPE) and Intelligent
Peripheral Equipment-Enhanced (IPE-E) are ACD-MIS products that
address the needs of the small call center market. They are designed to
function within the Meridian 1 environment. The IPE and IPE-E have so
many similarities that they are referred in this document as IPE/IPE-E.
The IPE platform is not available as a new system. It is only supported as
an upgrade system (for example, call centres with existing IPE systems
upgrading to Meridian MAX 8).
For an IPE platform with a 1 Gbyte hard drive to be recognized as an IPE-E
platform, an appropriate keycode must be used. There are two versions of
the Meridian MAX IPE/IPE-E—one for the Option 11 and one for the
Option 21–81.
Table 4-1 lists the equipment and materials required for a Meridian MAX
IPE/IPE-E installation.
