For successful operation of your tape library, place the barcode label entirely within the recessed
area, ensuring that no part of the label is outside of it (see Figure 26).

SDLT barcode labels
SDLT cartridges have a front slide slot located on the face of the cartridge next to the write-protect
switch (see Figure 27). Inserting the barcode label by sliding it into the slot.
CAUTION:
Do not apply labels to the top, bottom, sides, or back of the cartridge as this may cause damage to
the tape drive, or interfere with reliable operation.
