Symptom Possible Cause Suggested Solution
New escape sequence is
forgotten.
RMC console must be reset to
factory defaults.
During a remote connection,
you see a “+++” string on the
screen.
The modem is confirming whether
the modem has really lost carrier.
This is normal behavior.
The RMC does not always
display power on or power
off error messages to the
external RMC/COM1 port.
The display of these messages
varies with the system state and
the setting of com1_mode.
Set com1_mode to through
mode or snoop mode.
