6.7 Configuring Devices
Become familiar with the configuration requirements for CPUs and memory before
removing or replacing those components. See
Chapter 8 for removal and replacement procedures.
WARNING: To prevent injury, access is limited to persons who have
appropriate technical training and experience. Such persons are expected to
understand the hazards of working within this equipment and take measures
to minimize danger to themselves or others. These measures include:
• Remove any jewelry that may conduct electricity.
• If accessing the system card cage, power down the system and wait 2
minutes to allow components to cool.
• Wear an anti-static wrist strap when handling internal components.
