13 Security

Introduction

The Security screen is located in the Conﬁguration tab in Performance Advisor XP (PA XP) , as shown in

Users tab on Security screen. It displays information about users who are authorized to use PA XP and the

groups to which users are assigned.

NOTE:

This screen is available if PA XP has been installed as a standalone product and not if it has been

installed along with CV XP.

The screen consists of two tabs: Users and Groups. Administrators can use both the Users tab and the

Groups tab to view and modif y security information. General users can view o n ly the Groups tab and

cannot make modiﬁcations.

For each authorized user, the Users tab displays the following inform ation:

• Name of the user

• Group memb ership

• Description of access rights (read only or read/write)
