16 Schedules
Introduction
The Schedules screen on the Reports tab enables you to schedule report g eneration at periodic intervals
for an array .
For scheduling the reports, choose the array, the report type, and the time. The frequency can be set
to daily, weekly, or monthly. The report type options are reports for array per formance, LDEV IO s,
cache utilization, CHIP utilization, AC P utilizatio n, Continuous Access Journal, XP Thin Provisioning
pool occupancy, and Snapshot pool occupancy.
For sample reports, see Appendix B. For details on the arrays supporting XP Thin Provisioning (THP),
Snapshot and Continuous Access Journal, see Appendix D .
The details of the schedules are save d in the reports list box in the Schedules screen, as shown in
Schedules screen. This screen also allows you to schedule a new report or remove a schedule.

Using the Schedules screen
The schedule screen displays a list of schedules in the list box. The array serial number, the type of report,
the o ccurrence, the user nam e, le type, scheduled time, the end time of the schedules and the email
destination to which the generated report is to be emailed are displayed in the screen. You can sort
thelistbyanyofthecolumns.
Reportswithanasterisk(*)beforetheUser Name indicate that they are generated by a schedule.
Following is the naming convention for reports created using a schedule: <Array Serial
Number>_<Report Type>_<ScheduleType>_<Date>_<Time>_Timezone.html/pdf
Yo u can create and delete schedules from this screen. Click New to create a new schedule, and Delete to
delete an existing schedule. Schedules that have reached their end date are deleted automatically.
