HP Environmental Base Station installed on a rack 23

NOTE: You can install the base station outside or inside of the top of the rack.

1. Ensure the area on the top of the rack is free from dust before installing the base station.

2. Remove the mounting tape liner, and secure the base station to the desired location on the top of the

rack.

3. Connect the data transfer cable from the HP Rack Sensor Array or HP Three Point Sensor Array to the

base station.

4. After all hardware is installed, power up the components ("Power up procedure" on page 70).
