Write Cache Status : Inactive, cache disabled

To set a container’s read cache, use the container create

stripe command, the container create raid5 command, the

container create volume command, or the container set

cache command. See Chapter 7, Working With Single-level

Containers, for information on the container create commands.

See Chapter 9, Modifying Containers, for information on the

container set command.

Displaying a Container’s Write Cache Setting

The write cache setting attribute indicates whether the write

cache is enabled for a container.

Note: Some controllers do not support the write cache

feature. See your installation guide to determine if your

controller supports the write cache feature.

To display a container’s write cache setting, use the container

show cache command, as in the following example. In the

example, the Write Cache Setting item shows that the write cache is

set to DISABLE.

HPN0> container show cache 0

Executing: container show cache 0

Global Container Read Cache Size : 5345280

Global Container Write Cache Size : 63332352

Read Cache Setting : DISABLE

Write Cache Setting : DISABLE

Write Cache Status : Inactive, cache disabled
