Wi-Fi Direct

HP Wi-Fi Direct printing provides the ability to print from a mobile device, such as a smartphone or

notebook computer, directly to a printer without connecting to a Wi-Fi network. The mobile device

must be within range of the printer. Use this option to configure the settings that are used to connect

the mobile device to the printer.

The printer accepts all Wi-Fi connections. When Connection Method is set as Auto, user is not

required to enter a passphrase on the printer control panel. However, if the mobile device requires a

passphrase, the user must enter the default passphrase on the mobile device before the Wi-Fi

connection is established. The default passphrase is 12345678.

Wireless Direct Print

When enabled, HP wireless direct allows wireless mobile devices to print directly to HP wireless

direct-enabled printers without a network connection or Internet access. Use this option to enable or

disable the HP wireless direct printing feature on the device. This feature provides the ability to print
