
User host configuration script (USERHOSTCONFIG)
This CLUI script enables you to request the host configuration information.
USERHOST CONFIG usage
Following is the general format of the c om m a nd to invoke the script:
[-filein in_name | -streamin | -database colon:separated:no_spaces]
-fileout out_name -streamout -header -send -ms management_station_name
[-auth user:password | -pf password_file] -?
where:
–filein <in_name>
When repeat
ed, only uses the last in_name.
–streamin
The default input value.
–database <colon:sepa-
rated:no_spaces>
Alistofhostnames.
TIP:
The word "all" by itself, without the quotation marks, is used to send each host’s
information.
–fileout <out_name>
When repeated, uses the last out_name.
TIP:
This parame
ter is effective only if all the input records are parsed without error.
–streamout
Outputs to the console unless redirected elsewhere.
TIP:
This parameter is effective only if all the input records are parsed without error.
–header Applies only when an output is selected.
TIP:
The softwar
e ignores an incoming header line in an input file or stream-in.
–send
Sends the configuration records to the management station.
TIP:
This parame
ter is effective only if all the input records are parsed without error.
–ms <management_sta-
tion_name>
In the form http://servername or https://servername.
TIP:
The https us
age is possible when the management station is set up for SSL.
–auth <user:password>
TheusernameandpasswordarethesameasfortheConfiguration tab.
–pf <password_file> Can be used in place of –auth.
NOTE:
The password file must be cr eated using the encrypt command only.
–?
Displays the usage message; no parsing or sending is performed.
