Changing the system parameters7–8
The remainder of this section is organized as follows:
• Using the configure system command (Section 7.2)
• Using the configure server command (Section 7.3)
• Adding, changing, or removing the Alias IP on a Gigabit Ethernet network (Section 7.4)
• Partitioning an InfiniBand interconnect (Section 7.7)
• Removing InfiniBand partitioning (Section 7.8)
• Changing the iLO user name and password (Section 7.9)
7.2 Using the configure system command
As described in Table 7-1, the first step in changing a parameter value is usually to run the configure
system command. This section describes how to use this command to change a parameter value; as an
example, the Alias IP on a Gigabit Ethernet network is changed in the following steps:
1. Display the existing parameter value by entering the configure system command, and then
choosing the appropriate menu. In this example, the Configure Networks menu is chosen:
sfs> configure system
1) System
2) Configure Networks
3) Network Services
4) Management Network
5) iLO Access
6) Storage
a) All of the above
e) Exit (save updates)
q) Quit (discard updates)
