2-3-4 Web ViewPoint configuration files

This section lists the configuration assigns that exist in the Web ViewPoint configuration files that

are either added during the install or are important for the product activation.

This is a shared Assign file. Storage Analyzer uses

the same license file as is used by Web ViewPoint

by appending its license to the existing license file.

Hence the value of this must be the license file

being used by Web ViewPoint.

WVP-LOCATION STRTWVP WVP $Vol.Sub

volume

This assign is added during the install of SA and

represents the location of the WVP configuration

files.

2-3-5 Work Files

This section describes the data files that are created by the SA Host process at the scheduled time

of the daily run. These files are created in the Store Volume specified in Runtime Admin under sub

volume that follows the “SAyymmdd” notation, The prefix “yymmdd” being the two digit year, month

and day (of the collection) respectively.

FAGEOLD K Used to store all the files that meet the old age criteria as specified in the

Runtime Admin

K Used to store any matching disk alerts defined in the Alert Admin . The Aler

definitions are read from ALDEFDD file

FALRTFD

K Used to store any matching file alerts defined in the Alert Admin. The Alert

definitions are read from ALDEFFD file.

FALRTFH *

K Used to store any matching hourly alerts.

The Alert definitions are read from ALDEFFH file

Note:

The Hourly alerts are not currently being supported in Storage Analyz

It’s reserved for future release.
