8. Click Update. The selected drives display a blue progress bar in the Device Report panel as the

update occurs. This bar shows both the percentage and the estimated time remaining to complete the

update.

When the update completes, the IO Accelerator Management Tool displays a dialog box requesting

you to reboot to complete the process.

9. Click OK.

10. Power down and restart the computer to ensure a full reset of the system and installation of the

firmware.

Firmware already updated

The IO Accelerator Management Tool program verifies that the firmware update version is required for

the selected device. If the update and the current firmware are the same, IO Accelerator Management

Tool notifies you.

The dialog box shows the same firmware version number in both the dialog box and the message that the

selected device is already up-to-date. The IO Accelerator Management Tool program also grays

out the Update button since this change is not required.
