locate
Description Helps you locate specific hardware by flashing the LEDs of the drives in the
requested hardware. These LEDs are visible from the front of the storage
enclosures.
Syntax locate <option> [time=<time>]
Operands <option>, wh
ere op tion equals one of the following:
ALL—Flashes the LEDs of all drives connected to the MSA storage
sub-system.
BOX <x>—Flashes the LEDs of the drives in the specified box.
BUS <x>—Fla
shes the LEDs of the drives connected to the specified bus,
where <x> is the bus number.
DISK <x>—Fl
ashes the LEDs of the specified drive, where <x>isthedrive
number.
UNIT <x>—F
lashes the LEDs of the drives in the specified unit, where
<x>istheunitnumber.
CANCEL—Di
scontinues the flashing of the drive LEDs.
time=<time>
[Optional
] The length of time, in seconds, to flash the LEDs. If no value is
specified,
the default value of 30 seconds is used.
Example
To flash the
drive LEDs in box 1 for 10 seconds:
