4 Managing Fast Snap Pairs
This chapter provides instructions for completing FS pair user tasks using the RWC.
Fast Snap pair tasks
You can perform the following tasks on FS pairs:
• Check FS pair status.
For more information about checking FS pair status, see “Checking Fast Snap pair status”
(page 61).
• Create FS pairs.
For more information, see:
◦ “Workflow for creating and managing Fast Snap pairs” (page 62).
◦ “Workflow for creating Fast Snap pairs using Remote Web Console” (page 62).
◦ “Creating Fast Snap pairs and defining them in snapshot or consistency groups using the
RAID Manager” (page 63).
• Split pairs to store snapshot data.

• If the FS pair is defined in a consistency group, change the FS pair status.

Checking Fast Snap pair status
Each FS pair task requires a pair to have a specific status. Check the pairs’ status before performing
a pair task and to ensure that the task completes successfully and to ensure the data is current.
