3. Enter User Name and User Role of user or admin.

NOTE: The user name must be in this format and the user must be part of an existing domain:

• <DOMAIN_NAME>\<USERNAME>, for example: AdminSys\ghearty

4. Click OK. If the user name is not in the correct format, an error message will appear, and the

external user will not be created.

To add a group (Admin only)

This option allows you to add a group that has already been set up on the AD domain to which

the StoreOnce Backup system has been joined. When adding a group, you must choose a role

for the group. All members of this group will have the same role.

NOTE: If, after creating the group, you configure a member of that group as an individual user

(external user) with an admin role, that user will then be an admin even if the group role is set to

user. (Role permissions set through Add User take precedence over role permissions in Add Group.)

1. Click Add Group.

2. Enter Group Name.

NOTE: This group must already exist in your domain. For example:

yourdomain.com\StoreonceAdmins
