CWDM (SFP) transceivers

CWDM (SFP) transceivers are hot-swappable, ﬁeld-replaceable, small form pluggable devices (Figure 10)

that adapt an electronic data signal to laser light at a speciﬁc wavelength. These devices allo w gigabit

ports to link with ﬁber optic networks. CWDM (SFP) transceivers create light at one of eight speciﬁc

wavelengths.

CWDM (SFP) transceivers provide serial ID information and a special management and diagnostics por t.
