ibrix_vs

Identifies storage resources, discovers them, and maps them to physical volumes.

Description

ibrix_vs identifies vendor storage resources, discovers LUNs identified in those resources, and

maps them to logical physical volumes in the configuration database.

On 9300/9320 systems, you will need to identify and discover vendor storage resources before

they can be used to create block snapshots.

On X9720/9730 systems, vendor storage resources are registered automatically for hardware

monitoring purposes.

Synopsis

ibrix_vs -r -n STORAGENAME -t { lefthand | msa | eqlogic | 3PAR } -I

IP(s) -U USERNAME [-P PASSWORD]

ibrix_vs -r -n STORAGENAME -t {eva } -I IP(s) -U USERNAME [-P PASSWORD]

[-s suffix]

Remove the registration for the specified storage:

ibrix_vs -d -n STORAGENAME

Discover LUNs on the specified storage:

ibrix_vs -a [-n STORAGENAME]

List all storage that has been registered:

ibrix_vs -l

List detailed information for the specified storage:

ibrix_vs -i [-n STORAGENAMELIST]

Set the proxy IP address for the specified storage:

ibrix_vs -c -I PROXYIP -n STORAGENAME

List all registered servers in one or more vendor storage:

ibrix_vs -l -s [-n STORAGENAMELIST]
