How Do I Use Wi-Fi?
Wireless access eliminates the need to use cables to connect your
Pocket PC to the Internet. However, to be able to use a Wi-Fi
network, you must have a Wireless Access Point. These access
points transmit data to and from your wireless device. Your
Pocket PC can connect to an 802.11b Wi-Fi network or connect
directly to other Wi-Fi enabled devices.
With Wi-Fi, you can:
■ Access the Internet
■ Send and receive e-mail
■ Access corporate network information
■ Use virtual private networks (VPN) for secure remote access
■ Use HotSpots for wireless connectivity
Getting Started with Wi-Fi
To use Wi-Fi on your Pocket PC, you need to turn on Wi-Fi and
set up your device. To turn Wi-Fi on or off from the Today
screen, tap the iPAQ Wireless icon ( ) in the Command bar,
and then tap the Wi-Fi icon.
